Progressive Orthodontics has been the worldwide leader in comprehensive Orthodontic continuing education since 1984.  Over this time, we have developed a training philosophy that is practical, easily reproducible, and effective in allowing our students to quickly make a return on their investment while also giving care to the highest standards in the world.  Our philosophy also incorporates lifetime education, with a Free Lifetime Retake Policy and unparalleled access to instructors outside of class hours.   These philosophies have helped us develop a loyal worldwide following with over 5,000 members of the POS family. 

In 2008, Progressive Dentistry was formed to take these same philosophies to other areas outside of Orthodontics.  What started out as one course taught by one of our top orthodontic instructors has rapidly expanded into a center with a wide variety of offerings in all of the exciting topics of dentistry.  Currently all of

What separates Progressive Dentistry from other Dental Continuing education providers?

Progressive was formed with the idea of bringing practical, high quality dental education to improve the abilities of our students.  In all of our seminars, we are focused on teaching you skills that you can use in your practice the very next day, and recoup all your expenses (and much more) in a very short amount of time.  We also strive to stay at the front of the profession, teaching cutting edge technology and procedures that work.  Lastly, and most importantly, we apply a realistic view of what you can expect in the clinic.  We show all the information, explaining what can go wrong, and making sure you are prepared for whatever may come up in the clinic.  We focus on treatment planning, and understanding the case BEFORE you start, so that you can understand what you are about to do and make sure you are comfortable with each case.  We also have a variety of support methods to make it simple and efficient for you to reach one of our instructors if you needed further assistance, and this support is available for the rest of your career.

What is your support policy for questions and help outside of seminar hours?

We give you access to our instructors in a variety of ways to help support you outside of seminar hours.  For general questions, you have the option of using our forum, using our “ask a question” feature on our website, or emailing the instructor directly.  Many instructors will also give out their office phone number to receive calls from our students.  For case specific help, we have “case diagnosis,” which is basically tutoring, where you can present a specific case from your practice to the instructor.  The instructor will then analyze the case, and help you with diagnosing the case so that you have the highest level of success.  There is a charge for the case diagnosis help, generally capped at $160.00 a case.

What is your retake policy?

Progressive is committed to your success in truly learning the material that we are teaching.  To help with this effort, we have a FREE retake policy, allowing you to retake any of our courses that you have paid for previously at no charge.  If you miss something, or just want a refresher course, just call us and retake the class live, by video, or IAT.  In classes where space is limited, a new student has priority seating.  Also, in “Pain Management Protocols,” a retaking student does not receive a free 20 units of Botox® at the course. For many hands-on classes, the video tuition is discounted $200. Thus, you may retake the live class for free, plus the $200 difference to participate in the hands-on portions.

Are you trying to educate me to sell me product?

While we do have a Dental Supply branch, we are not directly affiliated or sponsored by a product company.  This independence allows us to recommend product to you that really works, without concern for who manufactures the products.  We understand that a major portion of dental education is understanding the tools that are available to you, and being informed on what you need to be successful.  However, you can feel confident that we will be objective and only recommend product that really works.  Lastly, we do not have a sales force and do not aggressively sell any product, instead we rely upon you to search us out with product questions and to purchase products that you need.

What is the Progressive Family?

Progressive is a family owned business, and pride ourselves in treating all of our employees and clients as we would treat our family members.  Once you have taken one of our courses, you become a member of the Progressive family, and with this you have special access to many of our seminars and discounts that are not available to other dentists.
