Implant Surgery Series

The Implant Surgery Series will give you the foundation you need to confidently and predictably place implants. We will focus on treatment planning and understanding each case before you get started to help you with case selection. The course will help you understand implants, their design, why to choose one implant vs another, what you need to consider when treatment planning, aesthetic considerations, and how to detect pertinent information from both radiography and CT scans.

There will be a hands-on component to the first session where each student, while working on typodonts, will make the incision, lay a flap, place an implant, and practice the suturing techniques taught. As an added bonus, we will detail how to read a CT Scan, and explain the clinical implications of this technology. We will discuss when a CT scan is necessary, as well as how to manipulate the images to obtain the view you need.
