Patients are looking for natural looking restorations in a frame of healthy surrounding soft tissues. Many times the very same patients present with tissue deficiency and excess that can compromise the esthetic outcome and pose a great challenge for the treating clinician.
This course is designed to provide participants with the scientific background and surgical techniques to attain success from a soft tissue perspective. It will address step-by-step esthetic periodontal surgery techniques, their indications and contraindications as well as management of complications. Diagnosis, treatment planning and when a referral is indicated will be emphasized. Participants will learn how to manage soft tissues around teeth and implants and will be able to provide their patients with more esthetic and predictable outcomes.

Dr. Ziv Simon
Beverly Hills, CA
Dr. Ziv Simon is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He obtained his dental degree and Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree from Tel Aviv University, where he held a teaching position in the department of prosthodontics. He received his periodontal graduate degree and a Master of Science from the University of Toronto. He has conducted research and published on bone engineering, dental implants and smile design. He lectures nationally and internationally on gingival esthetics, advanced hard and soft tissue reconstruction and implant dentistry. Dr. Simon is the founder of the Beverly Hills Multidisciplinary Dental Study Group and taught as a clinical assistant professor at USC. Dr. Simon maintains a private practice limited to periodontics, dental implants and reconstructive surgery in Beverly Hills, California.
